DayDream Art Production is a Cairo-based production entity operating in the Middle Eastern market and offering a variety of production and post-production filmmaking services.

 

Mohamed Samir, the creator of DayDream, has 17 years of experience in the video and filmmaking industry in Egypt and the Middle East. DayDream was created in 2007 to aiming to put the egyptian film industry back on the international scene.

 

DayDream Art Production is focusing on producing director’s films aiming to distribute these films internationally, such as the latest feature film project “Factory Girl” directed by the Egyptian cinema icon, Mohamed Khan.

 

Factory Girl won many awards such as the FIPRISCI award for best feature film and Best Actress in Dubai film festival 2013 and it was the Egyptian contender for the Oscars 2015.

 

DayDream also tends to support artists working in the audio visual sector in general and has the reputation as supporter to many cultural events. DayDream produced 3 independent theatre plays along with producing 5 short fiction films, 2 feature films and a co-produced several documentary projects.

 

DayDream also sponsored many cinematic events such as The European Film Panorama and 48 Hours film competition, also in 2010 DayDream was an official partner of Dubai International Film Festival.
